"WINTER LETTERBOXING"

Where have the last few months gone to? Just four months ago, we knew nothing about "letterboxing". After diving in head first, we've enjoyed some wonderful finds and have met some wonderful people. Many persons on the boards have taken their valuable time to answer our "newbie" questions, which we are so appreciative of.

We now feel that we have a good understanding of the "hunt" and a better understand of the "plant". We're slowly but surely learning about letterboxing activities that can take place in the winter, when it's hard to get out to hike. Postals, LTC's and Virtuals are all part of a whole new area that we're trying to learn as much as possible about. We've actually signed up for our very first postal, "Dances With Wolves". We're so excited. If it hadn't been for the guidance of Miss Chieveous and her sharing with us, we wouldn't be where we are now. Foryach helped us learn more about LTC's...we're looking forward to taking part in our first "ring" after the holidays.

Many, many, many have shared with us some of the proper ways in which to handle different situations while out in the field. We thank them many times over.

Now, the holidays are upon us and it's traditionally a time to set back, relax and enjoy the "reason for the season" along with time with our families. After the "snow" settles, we'll be back on the trail again....but until then we want to wish each of our new found friends a "Very Merry Christmas" and the best of New Years.
